For years, CleanAIRE NC’s air quality monitoring programs have delivered crucial data, helping us understand pollution and protect North Carolina communities.

This vital work faces challenges due to recent changes in federal funding for air monitoring and public health initiatives. Less funding means less data, less insight into pollution sources, and a greater risk to public health, especially for our most vulnerable neighbors—children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.
