Jennifer Benjamin

Senior Manager of Programs

Jennifer Benjamin brings to CleanAIRE NC a career built across the government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors, with deep experience managing complex, mission-driven operations. Most recently, she provided operational leadership at Rutgers University’s Center for Research on Ending Violence, managing a large portfolio of federally and state-funded programs. Before that, she served as Senior Director of Youth Development at the YMCA of Newark and Vicinity, overseeing multi-site programs across two counties in New Jersey, serving low-income youth and families across the region.

In her role as Senior Manager, Programs, Jennifer focuses on strengthening program systems, supporting a team of program managers across CleanAIRE NC’s five program areas, and ensuring that program work stays aligned with organizational priorities and the communities the organization serves.

A proud UNC Charlotte alumna, Jennifer holds a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University and is glad to be back home in Charlotte. Her commitment to environmental responsibility extends into her personal life as well. She is the founder of an eco-friendly home essentials brand driven by the same values that brought her to CleanAIRE NC’s mission.
