About the AirKeeper Dashboard

Welcome to the AirKeeper Dashboard, a powerful new tool that equips communities with data, maps, and reports to understand and communicate their environmental realities like never before. Developed by CleanAIRE NC in close collaboration with community members, the AirKeeper Dashboard provides a comprehensive view of local air quality alongside critical contextual information.

Built By The Community, For The Community

The AirKeeper Dashboard is community-driven, reflecting the lived experiences of those most impacted by air pollution. Through ongoing feedback and collaboration with “AirKeepers”—community members who host many of the air sensors featured on the map—we’ve created a platform tailored to the specific needs of North Carolina communities.

This interactive mapping tool combines real-time air quality data with critical information such as the location of pollution sources, demographic data, and health statistics, providing a resource for studying impacts from multiple environmental stressors. Highlighting underserved communities and health-sensitive populations alongside environmental permits and violations, the Dashboard reveals environmental justice disparities across North Carolina.

But the AirKeeper Dashboard is more than just a data display—it’s a tool for advocacy. Whether you want to download current and historical air pollution data for analysis, or generate dynamic and customizable reports that combine multiple data layers into visually compelling documents, the AirKeeper Dashboard puts you in control.

Our goal is to equip North Carolina communities with the information they need to advocate for cleaner air and healthier living conditions. Use the AirKeeper Dashboard to examine air quality, investigate pollution concerns, share your findings and build upon your case for positive change.
