Equipping NC Communities Air Quality & Health Insights

CleanAIRE NC’s AirKeeper Dashboard Launches June 3!

A new, interactive mapping tool is set to revolutionize how North Carolina communities understand and advocate for clean air. On June 3, 2025, CleanAIRE NC will officially launch the AirKeeper Dashboard, a groundbreaking platform that brings together real-time and historic air quality readings with crucial community information.

The AirKeeper Dashboard is more than just a map; it’s a community-driven resource designed to center the lived experiences of those most affected by pollution. Developed in close collaboration with “AirKeepers,” local community scientists who host the air monitors featured on the map, the dashboard provides access to vital environmental data, demographic information, and health statistics.

The AirKeeper Dashboard addresses a critical need to access and study localized air quality information in proximity to pollution sources and health-sensitive populations. By providing a comprehensive platform that combines scientific data with community context, the dashboard allows users to visualize air quality challenges specific to the places and people they care about.

Our goal is to equip NC communities with the information they need to advocate for cleaner air and healthier living conditions. Through the AirKeeper Dashboard, community members can examine air quality, investigate pollution concerns, share their findings through maps and reports, and continue to build the case for positive change.
