CleanAIRE NC and NCCCA invite perinatal healthcare providers (obstetricians, pediatricians, midwives, nurses, doulas), pregnant moms, and community members interested in health equity to join this Zoom session to learn more about how climate change affects pregnancy and child health, with particular attention to the disproportionate impacts in Black and Latinx communities. The panel conversation will feature frontline community members who are already feeling the impact of climate change and:

  • Dr. Stephanie Johannes, Pediatrician and CleanAIRE NC Health Program Manager
  • Joy Spencer, Executive Director of Equity Before Birth
  • Maya Jackson, Founder and Executive Director of Mobilizing African American Mothers for Empowerment (MAAME)
  • Max Cawley, Program Manager at the Museum of Life and Science
