The first in a quarterly webinar series, “Climate Change, the Air We Breathe, and Respiratory Health,” will focus on the ways climate change and air pollution are impacting spring allergy season. Topics discussed will include the early onset of the spring allergy season in our changing climate, the impact of warming temperatures on plant growth and pollen intensity, and the effect of air pollution on the allergenicity of pollen with a focus on how these changes are impacting patients with allergies, especially those with allergic asthma.
