Kirsten is a public health professional with a demonstrated background and commitment to holistic health promotion, equity, and advocacy for historically underserved communities. Having served in various public health settings, including non-profit, local/state government, and other community-based settings, Kirsten is excited to be joining CleanAire NC. She is looking forward to listening and learning from the experiences of North Carolinians, and to serving as a positive agent of change through community-focused collaboration and providing informed health education that addresses social determinants of health with the goal of reducing health disparities in communities most impacted by systemic and environmental racism.
Kirsten earned her Master of Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health with a social and behavioral sciences concentration. Additionally, she is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES). A natural advocate of the people, Kirsten is a life-long learner and lover of animals (especially dogs). In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, sports, music, and travel.
