At CleanAIRE NC we believe that amplifying the voices of impacted community members has the greatest power to enact positive change. That’s why we want to let you know about an important opportunity to tell your story and make your voice heard.
Governor Cooper has stated his commitment to environmental justice. Now the Governor’s Office is asking North Carolinians to weigh in on how best to achieve this and to share the issues that matter most to their communities. The governor’s staff are currently accepting public feedback through an online survey (open through July). The public input collected from the survey will be used to inform the governor on how he should take executive action.
The public feedback survey will continue accepting responses through the end of July, but the Governor’s Office is planning to move quickly on this issue. We encourage you to submit your feedback as soon as possible if you would like to add your voice to try to influence the governor’s next executive order.
Even with small actions, you can make a difference!
Want more information? Watch Part 1 and Part 2 of our video series for more context and support with providing input at the listening session and through the feedback survey.

The Governor’s Office also collected input via a public listening session held in Charlotte on June 17th. CleanAIRE NC’s Executive Director Jeffrey Robbins attended the hearing and provided verbal comments to the Governor’s staff.
When policymakers better understand the problem, they can create more informed and impactful solutions. Come share your unique perspective on the issues that impact you, your family, and your community.
