Though the climate crisis often feels overwhelming, it’s important to take time to celebrate the progress we are making. That’s why CleanAIRE NC is excited to host a CleanAIRE Affair next month, our annual fundraiser and celebration of victories and champions in the ongoing struggle against climate change.
Join us in Charlotte to celebrate victories in the fight for a sustainable future and healthy climate, honor our fellow North Carolinians for their dedication to tackling the climate crisis, and share ways to get involved and support our important work.
CleanAIRE Affair is an opportunity to learn more about our recent projects and connect with fellow advocates who believe in our cause. The program will highlight our climate work over the past year while looking ahead to our 2024 priorities.
The ceremony will culminate with the 2023 Blue Sky Awards presentation, recognizing the individuals and organizations who have shown extraordinary commitment to combatting climate change and air pollution in North Carolina.
This year’s Blue Sky recipients include environmental justice advocate Sherri White-Williamson, community leader Ron Ross, electric vehicle proponent Ray Addison, CleanAIRE NC Board Chair Kwame Alexander, and educator Yancey Fouché with the Davidson Sustainability Scholars program. A CleanAIRE Affair is free to attend, with free parking for all guests. All proceeds raised at the event will directly support CleanAIRE NC’s 2024 programming. Guests who donate $50 or more will be entered into a raffle to win two tickets to a Charlotte Hornets basketball game! (Guests must attend the ceremony to be eligible for the raffle.)
