NC BREATHE 2025: Call for Student Posters

CleanAIRE NC is pleased to announce the Call for Student Abstracts for our annual conference, NC BREATHE 2025. NC BREATHE is North Carolina’s premier conference exploring the interconnections between planetary health, human health, policy, environmental justice, and health equity.

CleanAIRE NC is soliciting student research abstracts and posters exploring the connections between human health (both physical and mental) and planetary health. This includes research on associated environmental issues (e.g., air quality, PFAS, pollutants, heat exposure, social determinants of health, climate change, etc.), environmental justice, and sustainability efforts. Research conducted between 2022 and the present will be considered. Previously published research is welcome.

Selected authors will have the opportunity to exhibit their research at CleanAIRE NC’s two-day NC BREATHE Conference, scheduled for October 8 – 9, 2025, at Central Piedmont Community College’s Harris Conference Center in Charlotte, NC. Accepted submissions will also have opportunities to:

  • Display your poster and network with industry professionals.
  • Participate in lightning talks to discuss your research.
  • Win cash prizes!

Undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral students are all invited to submit posters. We strongly encourage student submissions across academic disciplines and departments (e.g., Environmental Science, Public Health, Social Work, Sustainability, Biology, Medicine, etc.).
