CleanAIRE NC has partnered with SELC to take a stand for a cleaner, more connected North Carolina. We’re asking Governor Stein to make bold moves on clean, affordable, and community-centered transportation, and we need your help!

Join us by adding your name to our letter to the Governor. It thanks his administration for their engagement and strongly urges them to fully implement the state’s Clean Transportation Plan.

In our letter, we specifically ask Governor Stein to:

Strengthen the goal to cut vehicle miles traveled (VMT) by 20% per capita by 2050.
Prioritize funding for transit, biking, and walking to improve safety, reduce traffic, cut pollution, and revitalize neighborhoods.
Ensure local communities have a stronger say in planning, leading to solutions that truly work for the people they serve.

What is “P8”?

The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) uses a process called “SPOT” (Strategic Prioritization of Transportation) to decide which transportation projects get built. We’re now in Round 8 (P8) of that process. Projects are ranked based on data (like congestion, safety, and cost) and public input—that’s where you come in.
