CleanAIRE NC is pleased to announce our 7th annual NC BREATHE conference to be held on April 7, 2022. The event will be hosted both online and in-person at Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, and will feature a series of panel discussions and distinguished keynote speakers focusing on important topics such as:
Richard Moore is the National Co-Coordinator of the Environmental Justice & Health Alliance for Chemical Policy Reform and currently serves as Co-Chair of the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council. As a widely respected national leader in the area of environmental justice, Richard has served on numerous government and non-governmental committees and panels, including the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council, the National Council of Churches EcoJustice Task Force, and the Congressional Black Caucus National Environmental Policy Commission.
NC BREATHE 2022 will also host a student poster session to elevate the innovative work being done by young researchers. CleanAIRE NC is soliciting research abstracts on environmental justice, health disparities, climate change, and related public policy topics for NC BREATHE 2022.
Abstracts need not directly relate to all the conference themes, but we do encourage researchers to consider how their work may intersect with them. From the submissions, three student abstract authors will be selected to give a short lightning talk presentation at the conference about their poster and research.
The deadline for abstract submission is midnight March 14, 2022. Please help us spread the word and share widely.
