• Empowering Underserved Communities: Through our collaboration with Governor Cooper’s Environmental Justice Executive Order initiative, we’ve amplified the voices of underserved communities. Our very own Community Science Manager, Daisha Wall, has been appointed to the esteemed Environmental Justice Advisory Council, championing equity and representation.
• NC BREATHE Conference: Our 8th annual NC BREATHE conference was a resounding success, drawing nearly 200 participants. Together, we delved into the critical intersections of health, climate impact, and equity, igniting meaningful discussions and driving actionable solutions.
• Educational Initiatives: Teaming up with Atrium Healthcare and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, we’ve spearheaded educational programs on the profound impacts of climate change and air pollution. By engaging and educating communities, we’re fostering a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and inspiring collective action.
• Strategic Partnerships: Collaboration is at the heart of our approach. Through partnerships with organizations such as Sol Nation and EJCAN, we’ve expanded our reach and fortified our efforts to effect positive change on a broader scale.
